Thanks mosox that looks like a great build for the price. One question though; the vid card is the one integrated into the motherboard right? Can you run most recent games at a decent quality/ res with that vid card?

Oops, forgot this, sorry:

You have a great monitor there and no, you can't run the latest games on a higher quality, only on medium quality (lower resolution) in that budget.

The alternative is to wait and use the onboard video until you get the money for a better video card like a HD 5770. Or get only 2G of RAM (you can add later) and a HD 5770 but that's over your budget:

$695.93

Anyway I think you shouldn't buy a cheaper smaller monitor.

I wouldnt be able to run games on higher qualities with the the HD 5770? Honestly my goal is really just to play them on medium settings low if necessary but i dont want it to be outdated by like next year... will this build allow me to still play games in a year or 2?

I was talking about the HD 4670 . With the 5770 you can play everything on high or medium for a couple of years, it's a good card.
