Hello guys I'm fairly new here and have spent the last little bit reading some posts. Now, I myself am looking for a slight upgrade to my current rig which I purchased a few years ago. I'm really looking for this upgrade to be strictly for gaming purposes and of course great at multi tasking and music etc.
I am from Canada so the website I will be using to determine purchases will be WWW.NCIX.COM as I live pretty close to it and can pick up the items to avoid shipping fees.
My budget is set to under $380, the lower I can keep it the better, as I am not looking for a huge overhaul just something to nicely get me through games such as SC2 and possibly Black Ops or one of the future fps games at high settings with steady high fps. I am hoping for this setup to last me through Diablo 3 and and still be solid for at least a few years.
The components I am about to replace are pretty old hense this is why I feel they are making my system slack a bit in the gaming department, here they are underneath.
ECS mcp61 motherboard
4gigbytes of ddr2 ram
9500 phenom quad core 2.2ghz
My other parts I currently have and plan to keep are a :
Visiontek 4850 GPU
650watt Ocz PowerSupply
350Gb Seagate HD
24" Monitor @ 1920x1080
Win Vista 32bit Home Premium
If you guys don't mind can you help me pick out a great motherboard / 4g of ddr3 ram and a cpu that can handle my needs and Oc's pretty good. Once again purchases will be made from www.Ncix.com, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Anything under $380 CDN is good with taxes included already, and the lower I have to pay the better
