Hello,
I had a virus on my computer. I tried to use Kaspersky to get rid of it, but then i got a series of error messages and strange screens and my computer died. I bought a new laptop, but I am trying to recover my files (important pictures, etc.) from my old hard drive. I bought a Sabrent enclosure for the sata hard drive I have Hitachi branch but it shows no files on the hard drive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

@BrendaM, which OS are you using? How do Device Manager and Disk Management report your drive?

Hi,
Just relax!!! You can certainly recover your files from your old hard drive by using drive recovery software. This data restoration software can successfully carry out Hitachi deskstar HDD recovery just in couple of minutes. If you want to try the software just visit the below mentioned links and restore all your crucial files.

Hi! Do not frustrate! Go try this free hard drive recovery tool:
http://freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/hard-drive-rec...
This one had ever helped my friend retrieve his inaccessible data from a WD 1TB hard drive. It is worth trying!
Tips:
1. Stop writing anything new on the drive immediately to avoid the original data overwritten by new data, which can make your data gone permanently.
2. Save your recovered data on a different drive or memory card in case of recovery failure.
3. Back up your important data regularly on a different drive in the future.
