I have two P8P67 LE mobos.
The issue with the second one includes the following:
1. From first boot I never see the asus splash log (even when it is enabled in the bios). Why would I not see the splash screen - is the board bad?
2. I use an IDE dvd rw with this board and when I disable marvell the board does not see the drive. Is the IDE input port on the board using marvell? By default marvell is at Enable or IDE - can't remember.
3. I bought GSKILL ripjaw X series 2x2gb (4gb total) ram advertised at 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 2N 1.5v
The mobo is running it by default at 1600mhz BUT with a volt of 1.65 and timings of 9 9 9 28 - I forgot to look at 2N.
Should I manually change the ram settings? set the profile to manual in bios?
The first board showed the splash screen - this one does not and that's what has me frightened. I was able to install windows and use my IDE Dvdrw drive before disabling the marvell controller in bios (the "no hard drive found" message during post gets annoying).
