Help please ssd

hey so i was going to build a new computer and this thought occured to me that once i install my os on my ssd ill turn off my computer and pop in my 1 tb hdd but when i download things and install things will it go onto my ssd or into my hdd because i want it to go to my hdd

The download location can be chosen by you, and when installing something (other than Windows updates & device drivers) you will in most cases be able to select the drive that the application is installed to.

Be aware, however, that even when you install an application to the non-system drive, some support files will still be written to the system drive. This is unavoidable.

so like i cant permanently set my program files and stuff to be on my hdd?
