Both sets of RAM are Kingston HyperX.

Mated to 2720i with SATA III 256gb SSD (+500gb HDD) and 3gb Nvidia 555m.

Any suggestions and/or explanations greatly appreciated. The 1866 c11 is about $30 more but that's inconsequential - I'm strictly thinking performance-wise especially for photoshop, video editing and multi-tasking.

8GB 1600MHz c9 is my reocmmend... Lower Timings(c9) is better than higher timings(C11) you'll get way more performance out the 8GB 1600MHz C9 than 8GB 1866MHz C11
