Replacing Nvidia 8500GT

Newbie here. I need to replace my 8500GT and I have a 450W PSU and asking what card makes sense. Running Vista but will probably upgrade to a dual boot Vista/ Windows 7 or just windows 7. I'm not a high power on-line gamer, do play some of the obsolete stuff but have started watching TV-video. I thing this has to do with getting older. ;) 


Whew, Thats just about exhausted my knowledge.

Maybe a GT240? I see 1 GB DDR3 and 512MB DDR5 in the same price range.

Yes, GT240 is not bad, but if you want to use win7 you might want to consider HD5670 2.0 version so you will be able to use all it's potential... :)

Thanks. Ironically the computer just died. It looks like the motherboard. At least it was before I bought a new card.
