MSI GTX460 Cyclone

I got the Cyclone today

and as stated I ran some quick benchmarks.

Win 7 64bit
Phenom II X4 955 @3.6ghz
4GBs RAM
rest of the system spec in my info

old GPU was the factory Over Clocked MSI GTS250 1GB twin frozr
the GTX 460 is

first thing I noticed was the fan is silent. afterburner has it running at 48% so I locked it in at that setting, I can not hear it at all. On the GTS250, I locked the fans in at 40%, anything more and I could hear it over the case fans. It was never an issue since the card never broke 63c.

HWmonitor has the GTX460 running idle at 36c. During all the benchmarks it never broke 57c.

STALKER Call of Pripyat 1680x1050res max video setting

GTX460 56/105/77

Resident Evil 5 1680x1050res 8xAA
GTS250 avg 33FPS
GTX460 avg 68FPS

MSI afterburner is having an issue with it, reports the shader clock in the core clock area and vice versa.

*updated to latest and greatest, that fixed the issue

ok I OC the GTX 460 to the following settings, the default settings are factory OC already

core clock from 728 to 800mhz
shader 1455 to 1600mhz
memory from 1800 to 1900mhz

but there was no major gain, about 5FPS in each game

*gpu core rose to 58c, it still runs cool.
