Hello i'm not very good with picking parts so i need some help. This build will mainly be used for gaming/entertainment. I don't really need a super good computer, i just need one that can smoothly run most of the games that are out right now like... Bad Company 2, Assassins Creed, APB, etc. So i wouldnt mind if a little money is left over so i can buy something else :) . My budget is $1000, and im searching around forums and asking people for help to make sure i get the best build for this price.

This is a build that someone told me to try from another forum. Can you please tell me if its good, or can you pick parts from newegg that are better then this. Thank you

If you want a CF/SLI capable mobo for $5 more before rebate, then here you go: MSI P55A-G55 $125 ($20 rebate, $3 shipping). I believe there is a very cheap EVGA SLI capable motherboard on newegg also, but I think potentially having CF as well is worth a bit.

I don't know if you have an combos lined up to go with that i5-750, but this one will provide a PSU that is capable of powering two GTX 460s: Intel i5-750 & XFX P1-650X-CAG9 650W 80Plus Bronze Modular $195 + $90, $25 combo discount for a total of $260.

If you are on a tight budget you will get the best longterm bang for your bucks going with an AMD build (in my opinion). Let me see what I can do for you...

AMD System featuring 965 BE, Radeon HD 5850, etc. TOTAL: $935 before mail in rebates. :)  (You said you had a case, right?)

AMD Phenom II x4 965 + ATI Radeon HD 5850 -- $415 (Combo)

GIGABYTE GP-890GPA-UD3H motherboard + Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit -- $230 (Combo will save you $10 on your operating system)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

4gb Corsair XMS3 RAM + 750w Corsair TX Power supply $195 ($155 after mail in rebates)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

Samsung Spinpoint 1tb Hard Drive -- $75 (Free shipping)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Samsung 24x DVD Burner -- $20

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

A few quick notes:

That RAM is @1600 so you may want to get a 1333 RAM instead depending on how comfortable you are with that.

If you are willing to pay $20 or so more you could switch that HDD for a Western Digital Caviar Black to take full advantage of the SATA 6.0gb/s that is the most common hard drive part on the motherboard.

Good luck!

Sorry, I don't see what's confusing, you get a better motherboard and power supply for what, only $5 more.
