and
regular Asus 5770 1GB for 95 dollars

which one is a better value?

Thanks

Wow, those are really good deals.

The 5770 is better, those prices are great, since your getting such a good deal just go with the better one. You would save about 50 dollars with the 250, and 80 with the 5770.

However it would be nice to know your needs, the rest of your computer (motherboard, CPU, ram), and what resolution you plan to play at.

I have a q9550, 6gb ddr2 800mhz, 850w psu, 780 motherboard (SLI only, no Xfire)
one 1680x1050 screen another 1920x1200 (can those be eyefinited or NV surrounded?)

thanks

edit, never mind the NV surround, 250 won't do it. only 260 and above i belive

Eyefinity and NV Surround are Triple Monitor setups, your just doing dual monitor, which both cards can do.

5770 its fun not the best card for new games

but it is fun and overclocks well enough

I just about went 250 to be more affordable but in the end the price on the 5770
is awesome

if I had a link I might buy one and crossfire

So you still recommend a 5770?
I don't game very often. Another thing I am thinking of now is that maybe if I wait to get another 250 for similar price and SLI (currently only one because of rebate). 5770, won't be expandable (SLI only mobo).
I would like to run the game on both monitors. Is that possible with either of those cards?

The 250 can do surround if you want but you will need 2 of them + a TripleHead2Go + SoftTH, way too much money/hassle as opposed to a single 5770 that can do eye-finity on its own.

The only issue here is that you are limited to a single 5770 and the fact that if you want to run eye-finity you need a total of 3 screens.

I got the 250 2 weeks ago with a Mail in rebate. but haven't sent the rebate. Now my cousin who works at ATI can hook me up with the cheaper 5770. so just thinking. no link to share, sorry
