Hybrid CrossfireX

Is it possible to crossfire radeon hd 4200 with radeon hd 5670?? If so, then how to? I don't care how much performance bump I'll get.. Even if I get 2 frame boost in crysis (in high 8x AA) that is enough...

More about hybrid crossfirex
  1. Hey there,

AFAIK, you can crossfire cards of SAME series. ex, 48xx with 48xx, 58xx with 58xx.

    Here is some info:

    Good luck.
  2. Well Hybrid CrossFire is different with normal CrossFire, in Hybrid CrossFire, you have to use the integrated card with only low-end models of that family(like HD 4200 and HD 4350), so you can't use a HD 4200 with HD 5670 in Hybrid CrossFire.
Even if you could, i don't think it would even give you 2 more FPS(because Hybrid Crossfire barely makes any differences)

It is not possible to crossfire different family of asics.

Hybrid cross fire is different than native crossfire
    Hybrid crossfire :

    IGP + GPU
    RS780D/RS780E/RS780L HD 4200 series
    RS880D/RS880P/RS880 desktop HD 5400 series

You can enable Hybrid cross fire with above combination's . if you have above combination, you can use Hybrid crossfire for that you need to enable surround view in the bios settings.

    Native crossfire :
