First off, I'd like to excuse my unintelligence in RAID and apologize for the eye rolls that I may cause from my dumb questions.

I have recently bought a new CPU heatsink and fan and need to remove the CPU back plate. In doing so, I'm going to have to unplug everything from my motherboard and remove the mobo from the case, of course.
What I would like to know is that if I remove the SATA cables connecting the several HDDs in RAID 0 to the mobo, would this delete my RAID and delete all of my files?
What are the necessary steps in keeping my RAID and files intact throughout the process?
