Okay so this started yesterday and it might be something with my BIOS because I just updated it the other day. So I put my computer into sleep mode and walked away to go get dinner with some friends. When I came back the computer was still buzzing and the cold cathode light was still on and everything was whirring and running normally. Like somebody woke it up. So I guess maybe the wind moved the mouse or something, WRONG. I tested it again so I put it to sleep but this time I watched it for a good 10 minutes. The screen went blank but the hardware did not go to sleep. It was as if I just turned off the monitor. When I awoke the computer the screen turned back on and the locked screen appeared. Why isn't my hardware going to sleep? Thanks. OH and I tried resetting my CMOS and installing a lower version of the BIOS, but that didn't seem to fix the problem. Please help, thanks!
