Hi, can anyone please help me.
Does anyone know the trick to removing the cover/case on an IBM Thinkpad
i series 1400? I have removed all the screws on the bottom I even have the
screen pulled out, but there is something still holding it together, and I
cannot get the bottom of the case off. I have spent 2 hours already and I
am really stuck...I can pry, but I am afraid that I might break it.
I am trying to access the inside of the cover at the back near where the AC
plugs in so that I can repair a power suppy problem, that's the reason I
want to remove the case.
Please help, if you know, or if you can point me to a good website. I have
already done a search & cannot find the answer.
Thanks,
Sammy

The IBM website has service manuals for all the Thinkpads in
downloadable form. I haven't looked for your model, but since they
seem to have everything, it's certainly worth a look. I don't have the
actual URL either, but you should be able to start here
http://www.ibm.com/support/us/ and find your model.
