Will these cheap headphones help in games?

Hello,
I now have the cheapest pair of headphones I could find on the market, but someone told me that for gamers, a better headphone will help, but what exactly do they help in?
If I buy the Sennheiser HD 201, will they actually help me more than the ones that I have?

When you play FPS games they help you in detecting slightest enemy movement to give you that extra edge over your enemies.

Yea I'm going to play COD:Black Ops, so that will be good,
But is the upgrade from my extremely cheap headphones to the Sennheiser HD 201 be noticeable in the game?
What about Music? Will there be difference between the two?

If you can, using a discrete graphics card ans a decent headphones is highly recommended. Read the reviews of some good sound cards in particular and read what difference they make.
