If it used to work okay I'm afraid there's little you can do. Just replace it. Depending on the brand, these devices can just pack up without warning. That's why they must never be relied on for backups or long-term storage.

Have you checked it in "Disk Management"?
Perhaps, it just need to add an drive letter.
If it is not, you can try some recovery tools to take a chance.
I recommend you to apply this free recovery tool:

Every time I have met the recovery problems, I would run it to help me. It is quite efficient.
If you want to retrieve your data successfully and completely, you should pay attention to the following things:
1. Stop using this drive right now to avoid overwrite the original data, which can make your files irrecoverable.
2. Save your recovered files on a different storage device in case of recovery failure.
3. Never forget to format it after the recovery process to see whether it could be used again.
4. Always back up you data in the future.

As this user told us, never save new photo on the same drive before you get your photos or other data restored.

I instroduced a friend of mine the same method when he had sd card raw error, he got his photos restored with this tip.

your drive may simply have some connection issues. Maybe it is something that you can do yourself to recover data from it. (video talks about sandisk device, but it could happen to any other USB flash drive)

I have a 8gb flash drive , and my system, doesn't reconize what can do?
please unswer Thanks

There can be any number of issues with the drive, it's difficult to diagnose without more information

If your PC does not recognize the flash drive it may not be enumerating the device due to a hardware problem on the usb drive. You can either continue troubleshooting yourself or you can use a data recovery company that specializes in flash drives

If your 8gb flash drive can connect to your computer, Myjad Photo Data Recovery helps you recover files. The software provides users with more powerful functions to recovery data from various types of storage devices including your digital camera, memory card, USB drive, hard drive and etc. Besides, before starting recovering, you can preview data and keep only the ones you want.

If that doesn't work before you trash your drive try this tool to reformat it. It might work so you can use the drive again:

Did you take the advice and if so, did it fail a second time? Try another USB port - it may work better. If it doesn't, the drive may have a problem.
