Blue ray reader

can anyone recommend a blu ray reader dvd/cd burner? I would like to play blu ray and burn dvd and cd. Also this is a gaming/audiophile build.

Depending on your budget these are the ones to choose from. I have the first LG listed and have had it for some time now with no issues.

I noticed you asked for Blu-ray ROM (reader)/DVD-RW drive.
The links from inzone are for BD-RE (writers)/DVD-RW drives.
For the BD-RE, I have two LGs and one Pione for some time with no Problems - All three have been in use.
Also have installed 2 BD-Rom (Read Only)/DVD-RW drives in laptops and both have been working great.

Note caution - verify that it comes with Blu-ray PLAYback program. Many OEM drives do NOT. Mine all did. Play back software cane be from 50-> 100 bucks. Many bad reviews are Because the User DID NOT verify that it came with playback software, just assumed it did.

Not a lover of liton drives.

got any links? Im looking at LG OEM's now and reading horror stories. I am about to head to micro center in oh, 10 minutes. I will pay for a writer if it means quality. these reviews scare me! LG reviews are fly scary. Im liking pioneer but its a reader and is 99.99

Yes, I'd recommend that drive. While I've NOT had a problem with my LG drives, I do prefer my Pioneer. And since it's retail it does come with the software.
