Will 945P-A Mobo support HD 5850?

Hello! :hello:  would like to know if anyone has found a way to add a HD 5850 Video Card to a ECS 945P-A mobo? I bought the vid card and put in on my mobo with a brand new Corsair tx750. It just begins to power up, then shuts down repeatedly. Not good.

Anyone know if perhaps a bios upgrade or chip OS upgrade is required, or would help? My system runs fine with older vid card and don't want to mess with the bios unless I have to. Anyone got any experience with this setup?

Did you make sure to connect everything, CPU 4/8 pin, motherboard 24-pin and graphics card's dual six pin PCI-E connector? Also have you completely removed the drivers from the previous card?

Everything was connected as suggested above. Although, I did not remove the previous video drivers of the other card, it never even got to the bootstrap process... thus, feel that step would perhaps be a little premature?

Pentium 4 or Dual Core?
I guess this board has pcie 1.0 version, right?
What HD5850 version? 2.0? 2.1?

Also, HD5850 on pent.4/dual core? it's an overkill...

What is your previous card?
