Oke, i just joined this site so im kinda new :)  .

Well my problem : Everytime i turn on my pc it starts beeping for 11 times and it doesnt show anything on the display so i only get a black screen . I searched on google what 11 beep tones means on AMI ( American Megatrends)

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/tp/ami-beep... (here it says that the cache memory test has failed )

http://kb.iu.edu/data/afzy.html ( and here it says that the L2 Cache is bad)

so my question is what do i do?

specs :

CPU : AMD Athlon II X3 450 3.2 GHz
Video card : Nvidia GTS 250 1 GB
RAM : 4 GB
HDD : 640 GBB SATA

More about : cache bad

First thing I would do is RMA the CPU if you can.

if its bad its bad,
unfortunately cpu's arent like toasters where you can take a bad component out and have it replaced,
if taking it back to the retailer isn't an option, your going to have to buy a new chip I'm afraid,

do you still have the box for the chip?
might be you could return it to AMD for replacement, just a thought...

ok, sorry man,
if you list your mobo, we can find a good replacement cpu that will go in there, what do you use the pc for? just games, surfing etc?
I'm off to work now but I'm sure others will look in and help
