Athlon II x4 640 vs Phenom II x2 560 BE

Hello,

I am trying to build a family pc and Microcenter has sale for the processor above (similar price)

I am not planning to overclock the cpus.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Single threaded tasks the Phenom II x2 will be a little faster, multithreaded tasks and multitasking(multiple programs at once) the Athlon II X4 will destroy the Phenom II X2 in.

Hands down go for an Athlon II X4, much better processor in the long run.
