I desperately need a new video card but i have no idea I'm looking at spending 130 ish but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and thanks.

What resolution are you using? Do you have a free PCI-E 16x slot? A 5750 will keep you from needing to worry about if your PSU is strong enough, it requires a 6 pin PCI-E power connector, but doesnt draw much power.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: Nvidia Geforce 7300 SE/7200 GS, PS480D-BK 480W ATX12V

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: 2 GB DDR2 Dual Channel RAM, Intel 82801 GB/GR/GH w/ PCIe x16

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I am familiar with Newegg, however if the same part is cheaper elsewhere than I can do that

Go for the 5770 that helltech linked, its a good value and not too much more than the 5750, and it will handle your native resolution quite well.

^+1 5770 is a better choice since it competes with the gtx 260 while the 5750 competes with the gts 250, its a step above

Also just to double check PCIe 2.0 is backwards compatable with a PCIe x16 right?

The 4850 will perform similarly to a 5750, though it will consume more power.The 5770 will perform better than both of them and is more future proof.So a 5770 is the best choice.
