  1. What resolution are you using? Do you have a free PCI-E 16x slot? A 5750 will keep you from needing to worry about if your PSU is strong enough, it requires a 6 pin PCI-E power connector, but doesnt draw much power.
  2. Like hunter said, can you list your monitor/resolution, motherboard, ram, cpu, and PSU? We can help you a lot more then.
  3. ok I checked out the forum and realized I should have given more info...

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: the closer the better

    BUDGET RANGE: 130-150

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming- Counter Strike Source, CoD MW2, Red Faction Guerilla, etc. Movies- HD 1080p new releases

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: Nvidia Geforce 7300 SE/7200 GS, PS480D-BK 480W ATX12V

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: 2 GB DDR2 Dual Channel RAM, Intel 82801 GB/GR/GH w/ PCIe x16

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I am familiar with Newegg, however if the same part is cheaper elsewhere than I can do that

    MONITOR RESOLUTION: (e.g.: 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I have a dual monitor set up but only run games on one screen I have added an additional fan and run the computer from 3 internal HDs

  4. I left the resolution blank cause I have no idea but the best I can get I guess for my price range

Whats the native resolution of the monitor you game on?
  6. 1680 x 1050
  7. If you can splurge about 15 dollars...

Its a pretty good deal since it has free shipping and its on sale this weekend only.
  8. Go for the 5770 that helltech linked, its a good value and not too much more than the 5750, and it will handle your native resolution quite well.
  9. ^+1 5770 is a better choice since it competes with the gtx 260 while the 5750 competes with the gts 250, its a step above
  10. I was also looking at getting one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129138&Tpk=VisionTek%20ATI%20Radeon%20HD%204850%201GB%20GDDR3 but which would be better for my system?
  11. Also just to double check PCIe 2.0 is backwards compatable with a PCIe x16 right?
  12. The 4850 will perform similarly to a 5750, though it will consume more power. The 5770 will perform better than both of them and is more future proof. So a 5770 is the best choice.
  13. thanks a lot everybody im ordering this week, its 130 with a mail in rebate and it even comes with a USB HUB perfect! Again thanks for all the help!!
