P6x58d-e problems

I have the following:

P6x58d-e with
i7 950 3 Ghz
3 sticks of 2GB DDR3 ram
Radeon 5850 video card
1 Velociraptor 600 GB 10k IDE drive
3 Barracuda 2 TB hard drives raided together using the Intel ICH10

My problems can be described as follows:
I have noticed a few times when the BIOS seems to reset itself. i.e. the velociraptor which is the boot drive would become deselected as the boot drive in the BIOS and the machine would fail. Most recently, now that I have installed the 3 2TB drives for RAID, the BIOS has reset itself, and I can't seem to figure out if there is a way to recover the files on the RAID, because the RAID configuration shows RAID as FAILED.

I would like to get to the bottom of the issue, but I'm not a hardware guy. Can someone help me with some suggestions as to what to try?? It seems strange that the BIOS keeps behaving badly, but I'm not sure how get to the root cause.

Also, is there anyway to recover the RAID after the BIOS has reset?

I believe I have ruled out the CMOS battery, I believe I was getting about 3.25 V from the battery, so it doesn't seem dead.
