a gtx 470 is suppose to run hot. idle in the 50s 60s and under load in the 80s and 90s is not unusual. just make sure it doesn't go above 100*c as its never healthy...
Just make sure you keep wire management in check and clean out your case every odd number of months.

Yet I still got 2 empty expansion slots (my mobo is micro atx) and I really don't need anything else to put in there.
So I'm guessing of putting 1 or 2 pci fans in there to help cool the card down by 5-10C would be awesome.
Btw, my idle temp is 44C, playing crysis (all very high/4xAA) is 84C.
Sorry to butt in on the thread, but I have a couple of questions about the case. Are you using an optical drive? If so, what sort of cooler did you use on the cpu?

No optical drive, I use a fan controller instead (aerocool touch 1000), and my cpu cooler is cooler master geminII S.
