a gtx 470 is suppose to run hot. idle in the 50s 60s and under load in the 80s and 90s is not unusual. just make sure it doesn't go above 100*c as its never healthy...

Just make sure you keep wire management in check and clean out your case every odd number of months.

^+1, the 470 runs hot, but its made to run hot. As long as you not going too much about 95C your doing well.

Run it at full load and monitor the temps.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
Yet I still got 2 empty expansion slots (my mobo is micro atx) and I really don't need anything else to put in there.
So I'm guessing of putting 1 or 2 pci fans in there to help cool the card down by 5-10C would be awesome. :D
Btw, my idle temp is 44C, playing crysis (all very high/4xAA) is 84C.

What do you guys think about this?

Sorry to butt in on the thread, but I have a couple of questions about the case. Are you using an optical drive? If so, what sort of cooler did you use on the cpu?

No optical drive, I use a fan controller instead (aerocool touch 1000), and my cpu cooler is cooler master geminII S.
Hope this helps.

Anyway, back to the topic, any suggestion guys?

I'm having a look on these 3 models:

Vantec Spectrum 70mm
