I sold my old Silverstone DA 1000w PSU to a buddy. He has an EVGA GTX #295 Co-Op and an EVGA GTX 250 for Physix. My question is since he was going to upgrade(he wants 2 GTX 480 I told him to hold off because the 580's are coming out soon)will a 1,000w PSU be enough to run 2 580's?The rest of his system is MOBO Asus P6T6 workstation Revolution<>RAM;6 gb of Patriot Sector 7<>CPU;i7-950 Oc to 3.8gHz<>Case;Silverstone Raven RVO1<>3 case fans<>Asus Xonar D2X soundcard<>1 , 10,000 rpm hard drive, 1, 7,200 rpm hard drive<> 1 dvd drive,1 blu ray drive,Corsair H70 cooler.<><> If this is not enough then I will go with the Corsair AX 1200 Pro Series

Yes it will a typical load for 2 x GTX480 in SLI is 668watts, the 580´s have a slight reduction in power need. http://www.anandtech.com/show/4008/nvidias-geforce-gtx-...
