APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: within the next 3 weeks

BUDGET RANGE: $1000ISH

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Games (mainly WoW maybe FFXIV when it comes out), internet browsing, minor photo/video editing maybe.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Mouse, monitor, keyboard, O.S.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: no preference (I am in California though if there is an out of state website that could save me on tax)

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: U.S.

PARTS PREFERENCES: None

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION:1680x1050 ATM may go higher in the future

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Basically what I am looking at is this forum already knows more than I can hope to learn from research over the next few weeks so I thought by leaving options open I would be able to get the most bang for my buck. I am a first time builder and will be following guides here. I do prefer something quiet and discreet (not a fan of the led lights etc.)

i5-750 200$
P55a-ud3/P55a-G55 140$
G.skill ram 80-100$ depending on voltage, speed, and timings
PSU: 650 watt Corsair 70$
Case: HAF 922 (90$)
GTX 470, regular deals for 270$ or less.
Generic lightscribe sata OD 20$

Maybe 30$ on an Intel NIC (good for Wow in crowded areas).

That's 920$ total. IMO either pocket the cash, save for a new monitor/SSD, or upgrade to an i7-870, in order of sensibility.

Not a huge difference, Seagate has the worst statistical crash ratings, Hitachi and WD the best.

IMO there's no point in not getting a 1TB drive like the samsung f3 compared to a 500GB drive. 40% more expensive for 100% more space and a small performance bump.

Just wanted to show the shopping cart to be sure I didn't screw anything up. Main question would be the PSU. There is also a combo deal for the 700W or I could just go back to the corsair and I think its only a $10 difference.
