Loss of wi-fi connection on compaq laptop

1) Is laptop wireless switched on (may be physical switch on case or a keyboard combo -- see manual) ?

2) Is laptop wireless present in Device Manager and not yellow flagged ?

3) Did you do make any changes on your computer immediately prior to wireless issue ?

4) Does the wireless adapter function but not detect the router's signal ?

5) You say the router's working normally so have you checked the router's wireless works by connecting with another computer ?


6) Can you get in the internet when you connect your computer to the router by ethernet cable ?

7) Have you tried turning off wireless security in the router ?
