Hello Everyone,

My friend has an old Dell Dimension E521 he bought around 2007

I looked in his case and his motherboard has an available Sata port and his PSU has an available sata plug would he be able to run an SSD how would I go along making this work?

Also he has 2 hard drives in his computer, we would like to use the SSD for windows and programs and the other hard drives as storage. Would we have to format both the drives or?

Thanks guys.

Yep, you can just throw in the SSD in there and it will work without issue.

You would have to re-install Windows on the SSD and do all the drivers and such. The other drives can be left untouched and you will be able to access everything that's on them once you get into Windows.
