Hey guys I'm thinking about updating my system.

Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2133 MHz

Mainboard : Asus P5N-E SLI

Bus PCI-Express :
Device : C55 PCIe Bridge
Version : 1.0
Port : 0
Physical Slot : #0
Slot Populated : Yes
Link Width : x16 (max. x16)
Link Speed : 2.5 GB/s

Physical Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR2-SDRAM )

Manufacturer : Corsair
Part Number : CM2X1024-6400
Serial Number : Unspecified
Type : DDR2-SDRAM PC2-6400 (399 MHz) - [DDR2-800]
Format : Regular UDIMM (133.35 x 3)
Size : 1024 MB (2 ranks, 4 banks)

Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT

I want to put a video card in the 100 dollar price range, to play wow on a 1920 x 1080 monitor.

My question is that if I put a card like the Radeon HD 4850 512 MB pci express 2.0, in a pci express x16 slot will my motherboard be able to utilized the card effectively or will there not be enough bandwidth in the connection to make any real change? So basically what I'm trying to say is it worth the money?

Also If I want to update the ram can I just add another 1 stick of a 2gb or should i add two 1x1gb sticks? Does the timing of the Ram mean anything, should it be the same brand of RAM etc. Thanks for all your help guys. Stopped paying attention to technology for a couple years and it seems like you forget everything :heink:

For high resolution, 1GB version would help. ^+1

Add another RAM also help a lot, so the setup will be 2+2 GB (2 sticks of 2GB).
Last, what is your PSU? brand? model? HD4850 need an additional 6pin power connector from PSU...
