Here is my current situation: I have a computer with 2 hard drives in it. One 80 GB HDD (which contains my installation of Windows 7 and is the primary boot drive) using an IDE cable, and one 1TB SATA HDD. I currently have 443 GB free on the 1TB HDD, and I would like to get rid of the annoying, ugly IDE cable. Would it work if I simply copied all the contents from the primary boot drive onto the 1TB drive and then set the 1TB drive as the primary boot drive? If that would not work, how can I get rid of the IDE drive?
