Hi all, I've got 2 cards, both Nvidia, one is a 6600gt (512 mb) and the other's a 7900gt (256 mb), can I pair these on a sli mobo? Originally had a pair of 6600gt's but burnt one out due to a fan failure, the 7900gt just kinda landed in my lap from a mate who didnt want it. If I cant then which do you recommend I stick with? As I've mentioned the 6600gt has 512 mb and the 7900gt has 256, from my reading around the 7900 seems like the obvious choice but someone elses opinion would be appreciated. cheers.

you can only SLI two of the same model card so it won't work. The 7900GT is easily a better card then the 6600GT.

absolutely not. as ct1615 said SLI need same model card to get to work though you can mix the brand of the card
