Hi bigbadron, no need to start another post with the same question, especially when we've answerd your question there for you already. As I have posted in your other thread:
Hello bigbadron, welcome to THW.
From what I cant tell your motherboard you listed is socket AM2+/AM2 and the AMD CPU you are asking about is a socket AM3.
As far as I know AM3 CPU's are backwards compatible with the AM2+/AM2 socket. Here is an article witht he details:

This is directly from Asus's website:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Circuit board ver. / Bios Ver.
Phenom IIX4 955 (HDX955FBK4DGI),3.2GHz,125W,rev.C2,SocketAM3,Quad-Core ------------- 2.00G / 0504
Phenom IIX4 955 (HDZ955FBK4DGM),3.2GHz,125W,rev.C3,SocketAM3,Quad-Core---------------- ALL / 0603
It would probably be best to make sure you get the AMD 955
rev.C3 and update your bios to version 0603(which is very easy to do with ASUS Mobo's)
Hope that helps
