I have a continuous high pitched beep from the mobo when I render in Adobe Premiere or transcode in Encore. It started happening when I changed to 64bit win 7. Can anyone figure out whats causing this? I have a dual Xenon Proc with 4 gig of ram. Mobo is Supermicro X6DAL-XTG. Doing video editing with it.

Welcome to Tom's Forums! :)

Looking at your manual it doesn't list continuous beeps, but with most SuperMicro MOBO it generally means either overheating or PSU failure. What you're describing suggests 'load' and load generally means higher temps.

There are many 'Probe' Apps, see if HWMonitor works with your system -> http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html next run something to stress your WS and look carefully at your temps. If the temps are okay and there's no MOBO LED warning or if equipped Post Codes displayed IMO it's probably the PSU.

It also wouldn't hurt to run Memtest86+, ISO/zip file, create a bootbale CD/DVD and test 2-4 passes -> http://www.memtest.org/
