Cannot connect to my wireless network from outside, despite strong signal

Hello,
I use wireless network at home in a highrise - it works like a charm. (encrypted)
When I go downstairs, however, a few floors down, I cannot connect. The signal is still excellent, 4 out of 5, I'm directly below my router, the system is trying to connect, is readin my password (it is saved, so a typo is not an issue here), and yet it cannot reach my network. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thank you!

Only Thing I can think of Is when you try to connect do you maybe click on the wrong available option in windows interet configuration or do you use the vendor's software to connect? What Router are u using in terms of Specs?
