Hello,

Planning a new build and have good prior experience with the Vigor Monsoon III LT Dual 120mm Fan CPU Cooler, on an X58 system. The Vigor's max dba is 20.

The new build is P55, i5-750, 4GB RAM, ATI 4870 1GB, and Rosewill Challenger gaming case.
Planning to use COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus, but it s max dba is 32.

Any thoughts about the noise level?

Regards
UE

I have no complaints about mine. I doubt you'll be able to hear over the noise from the 5 large fans that come in that case.

I think the casing design matters to suppress the noise level coming from the cooler. Also, the placement of the cooler, like, if it's placed in the bottomest part in casing, the noise can be minimized instead of placing it on the side window.

I own a couple of 1156 rigs and i have a 212+ in one and yes the fan could be better it's a little louder then i like but much better then stock.
I'm comparing it to my MUX-120 that has two fans on it and they are very quiet.
You could always buy some they're Thermalright X-Silent 120mm fans nice looking, braided black cables,20db,1200 rpm and i bought mine for $7 each in Canada.
