or just buy a switch? You can pick them up for less than a tenner. I am presuming you want more ethernet ports than you already have? This would be the cheapest option.

Thank you. I have Macs (OS X) and a four point wireless DSL modem. I also have a switch (Linksys 4 port DSL router) but it often looses contact with some of the items on the main DSL router. If I shut everything down and reconfigure all it goes fine for a while but then some links get lost again. I thought one central router might solve the problem so I'll give the Netgear box a try. I found a vendor who will take it back if it doesn't work. Thanks for the reply though.
