New Computer - DVI No Signal Issue

Hello, I've been asking some friends as to what my issue may be, and they seem to think it could be a faulty PCI-E slot.

So this is what's going on, I recently ordered new parts from newegg to build my new computer, the parts are as follows (there is also a link on every part I'm listing).
I have every hooked up, everything turns on, no problem. I have my 5770 in the PCI-E 16x 2.0_1 slot, everything is powered, I plug my monitor in, it lights up, followed shortly by a "DVI no signal," and then goes blank.

I don't understand what the issue is, as I said earlier, my friends seem to think the issue may be faulty PCI-E slots. I know it isn't the video card because I can plug it into my old computer and have no problem whatsoever.

What do you guys think I should do, contact Newegg...? Or am I just missing something, lol.

Thank you for the help :)

  1. Hello and welcome to the Forum.

First stupid question: Are you using VGA or DVI for the monitor?
Second stupid question: Is the GPU connected to the PSU?
  2. ^ He should do that first. Also, try to enter the BIOS and see if you can test your PCI ports.
