What is iexplore exe and 100% of a cpu mean

Hello,
I recevied a message on computer ieplore.exe is using 100% of one of cpu. i have pentium 4. i am not well verses in computers.

IExplorer is internet explorer, and when its using 100% of your CPU that probably means that something ran itself into an infinite loop. Open up task manage, go to processes tab, right click on it and end its process tree so you get any little things it may have created, then open it back up and it should work right
