I need help chloosing parts for a gaming and video PC

I am gonna be using this computer in my TV room, I have an aquos 60 lcd tv and could also use a 24inch lcd monitor which is in my closet. I will also connect it to bose surround 5.1, I have all the gaming systems so it would need to compete with the ps3 and xbox and Wii.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week

BUDGET RANGE: 1500

SYSTEM USAGE: gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies/ backing up my DVD and Bluray.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Monitor,

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: newegg.com preferred

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Texas

PARTS PREFERENCES: AMD or Intel, really need advise wether to get the best amd or an average intel, i dont want to upgrade for atleast 2 years

OVERCLOCKING: Yes / Maybe

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes / Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 60inch LCd TV, and 24inch lcd monitor (1920x1080, 1920x1200)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Windows 7 ultimate? is it worth the price? Dual Bluray Burners and plenty of storage to convert all my movies. I really wanted the level 10 case but its a little pricy

For just gaming, IMO X4 955/ i5 760 would be very good options...
But the X4 955 would be a better option because of the AM3 platform as AMD's next-gen CPUs might be based on AM3 platform, thus giving you an option to upgrade to them later on...

If it is not adequate, then buy a sound card and make sure its drivers dont have any issues with 64-bit...
