My WD External HDD donot recongnize it partitions

Hello,
i dont know what happened to my western digital 500GB external HDD. when i inserted the usb into my laptop it slows down the whole system for few moment after that it shows both partitions on my WD external HDD without the given name and when i intend to open it it freezes whole system . same happens when i try to diagones it from disk management.
please help me out i m too much worried about my very critical data.

Sounds like there's something very wrong with the hard drive. It is potentially dead. If your data is critical, I'd recommend taking it to a data recovery specialist. They should be able to get your data off the failed/failing disk for you.

yes dear i tried but it hangs the recovery software too.

after 10 days i just plugged in my WD removable drive it successfully detected both the partitions displayed its usage stats for a while, but as i tried to open one of the partition it hanged the whole system... can any say what has gone wrong with my WD .

I already did, there is something very wrong with your hard drive and you need to take it to a data recovery specialist if you want the data back. This isn't something you can fix on your own.
