You can. Both have good warranties, but I wouldn't buy piecemeal. You want to buy the ram/board/cpu all at once to test it out, so you can return any defective part within the 30 day return period for most venders. Just be patient and save enough to purchase all three at the same time.
 
Don't buy two single sticks of RAM. Always buy a dual-channel kit for Sandy Bridge systems.

Ripjaws or RipjawsX or Sniper (all by G.Skill) is good quality RAM. So is Corsair Vengeance. Those four are the kinds I highly recommend. They will all be compatible with any Sandy Bridge system. So yes, just buy whichever is cheaper at the time of purchase -- you won't be disappointed with any of them.
