Reinstalling windows?

I recently purchased an ssd and Im planning on reinstalling windows instead of the clone migration method. Do I need to reinstall my motherboard drivers if i reinstall windows?

Yes, reinstall of windows = starting from fresh.

Before you start, download all the latest drives for your motherboard, graphics card and other hardware that you might have in your pc. Save the drivers on a USB or hard drive that you can access after you have installed Windows on the SSD.

yes you will have to install everything including chipset, video ,sound and LAN drivers. Also make sure you enable TRIM and set the SSD to AHCI mode and NOT IDE

Does that mean im going to lose my overclock settings?

Nope because your overlock setting are in the bios so they will not change.

Unless you mean the gpu overclock settings. In which case just write down your voltage and speeds so you will remember.
