Nah, they should work fine together, unless you have one of those lava breathing super OC cards, a but a stock or near stock 460GTX will be just fine.
  2. Believe it or not, my q6600 was the bottle neck to my gtx 285 until around 3.1ghz.

I recommend overclocking that chip to an easy 3.0ghz or so if you can.
  3. Its not a discovery that the c2Q might bottleneck the card, i have my c2Q oc at 3.6 ghz, along with a gtx 460, they do great-
I would recommend to Overclock you cpu-
  4. The Kentsfeild Core2Quads are very powerful, I have a Q6600 overclocked at 3.4ghz, it outperforms a stock i7 920 according to Sisoft. They are even 5% faster than AMDs Deneb Cores (Phenom II 940 - 970) Clock for clock.
  5. If you dont want to dable in OCing the CPU, grab one fo the cheaper 768MB 460GTX, you can then for a terrific price, and they are a bit weaker than their 1gb cousins, so a perfect match :)
