Did I damage my motherboard?

I was taking my laptop motherboard out of chassis and there was a wire that didn't come off easily and i used a small screwdriver to pull it off. And i accidentally scratched the white part of the motherboard. Did I damage it?

Also does anyone know what that white part does? Does it conduct electricity?

I can not see which parts are affected, you try to mark with a red circle and more detail if you can, just guess the part that scratches.

Do you see the vertical line in the white part?

I see it like made of plastic coated with paint and
conversely there are strips of copper that connects
other components, thereby protecting the enclosed
components, you test it with ohmmeters part to
ensure that no conductive, and if not definitely
secure rip, it will be safe

if it's slightly scratch, not deep scratched, there is a possibility that the motherboard is ok, if it's deep scratch something wrong with the board, try a multi tester,or any electronic device to test your motherboard or go to the manufacturer of the laptop..for checking the MB.

You should be just fine. Normally there aren't any components in the first few layers of a board with big spots like that. Normally those are there just to fill the board out and make it fit a chassis, not actually having components running through them. Give it a try but my bet is that it'll be just fine. Worst case, nothing happens but nothing horrible like electrocution or fire etc... will occur on ya.
