Crucial M4 or Samsung 830/840/840 Pro depending on which one is on sale. Newegg kinda switches between those models for the sub $/GB category. All of those drives are excellent and very reliable.
Sorry i don't know what others are reliable personally but Toms Hardware claims OCZ Vertex 4 is a good one

Sandforce controllers are little slower with in compressible data but have very good performance on compressible data. In real world scenario - we generally use a combination of compressible & in compressible data ( MPEG, TIFF etc) and sandforce controller performance is as good or even better than most ssd's. Apart from that i think Sandforce drives have longer Kingston SSD's are much better than OCZ because it usually has Quality problems and vlow customer support
