SSDs in an old computer

I own a Dell Inspiron 537 that I purchased in late 2009. Only updates to it are I've installed a low profile 6670 and a seasonic 300W TFX power supply. Otherwise, it's all original (e.g., Dual Core E5300, 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz).

Couple questions:
1 - Are there any SSDs that will not run on a computer with these specs?
2 - Are there any types of SSDs that I should tend more toward based on this computer being an old one?

Not sure if I'm asking the right questions, but hope you all can help me. Thanks!

Any SSD will work if you have SATA connections on the motherboard

It's probably the best upgrade u could ever make to it...
