AMD sent me an Athlon 240e in place of a 7750 be

AMD sent me an Athlon x2 240e in place of a faulty Athlon x2 7750 be,, my question is have I been ripped off ?

they are basically equal. in the link below the athlon II wins in just about every benchmark by a slight margin. Plus the athlon II is an AM3 chip and can support DDR3 (along with DDR2) RAM, the athlon x2 is an AM2+ chip and supports DDR2

thanks mate , from what I am looking at I think I would have preferred another 7750, but as you say the 240e can support ddr3 , so is better for upgrade , I guess I was just hoping they would send me something a bit more 'meaty' .........oh well I guess we all have to embrace power saving green ness nowadays...

They quit manufacturing the 7750BE and it's entire series of processors probably around 1 1/2 years ago, can't expect them to have a massive inventory laying around still.
