A e i o u spacebar keys on toshiba lap top dont work

Hello,
I am using a Toshiba A105 S4254, and suddenly the 'e', 'i' o u and the space bar key stopped working. I don't think all the 5 keys are jammed - ( it is not a hardware problem is my guess )

Any ideas.

plug in a usb keyboard see if it works.

Got a new USB Keyboard and now the caps lock and the Shift keys don't work - ( or rather don't appear on the editor )
I don't know if it is a keyboard driver problem ? ( When the laptop is being booted - I tried safe mode - there too the keys don't work ! )
