I used a single 256mb memory card (PC2700). I have just bought 3 memory cards Kingston 512mb (PC3200). BIOS recognizes all the memory in different configuration, so the memory cards are valid, but there are some problems with booting the Windows XP correctly.

I tested following configuration:
single 256mb PC2700 - everything is ok
single 512mb PC3200 - everything is ok
256mb + 512mb - everything is ok

512 + 512 + 512; 256 + 512 + 512; 256 + 512; 512 + 512 - there is black just before the moment when Windows should start to load (before the screen with logo of Windows) or the system resets themself.
It is wird for me, that 2 the same memories card doesn't work.

I tried to change the frequency manually in BIOS settings from 200MhZ to 166MhZ or lower, but with no effects.

So what's wrong? Maybe voltage? What should I do or what else should I test?

DDR1 is a dead standard and should be in the bin

your motherboard probably has blown caps

if its an MSI it was NEVER any good

then again..... go into your bios and manually set the ram to 333mhz (166) or 1:1 and set the voltage to 2.6-2.7v (+0.1/+0.2v)
