Hello,

Looking to build a new system. Main use is for heavy multi-tasking. Web browsing, MS office, several PDF open at once. But would like to handle casual gaming and photo editing also.

Plan to get Intel Core i7 2600K and looking at a Z68 motherboard.

Anyone know how to make use of virtu and have 2 monitors supported?

Thanks for any info / experience. Weblinks appreciated

Just to clarify slighlty.

What I need is a motherboard which would allow 2 monitors to be plugged in. I intend to make use only of the integrated graphics, but allow upgrade to discrete graphics later if required.

Thing is, I haven't found a motherboard that has this. Some have a VGA and a DVI, but none of the documentation suggests that they would drive 2 monitors rather than just mirroring.

So far, the only way I can see to do this is with seperate graphics card to get the ports, which seems rather a waste of the onboard graphics of the 2600K, hense Virtu on the motherboard would be useful, but there seems to be quite a lot of confusion about how it is used.

The most useful i've found so far on virtu is here:
