Hi everyone,

I'm after a new computer for gaming, my budget isn't really an issue, I'm just after a nice price/performance level.

So far I've got this, please tell me if there's anything that stands out as a bad idea.

Graphics Card: GTX 460 1GB
CPU: Core i5-760 (the 760 is cheaper than the 750 here)
Motherboard: GA-P55-USB3
RAM: Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C8

I already have a monitor, case, HDDs. I run windows 7 in 1920x1080 resolution.

A question I have is whether triple channel is significantly better than dual channel for me (if so please recommend a mobo).

Thanks for all your help!

You can't use triple channel memory with the i5 760 so you don't need to worry about it because it's not supported.

Go for a 6850 or 6870 as the GFX. The 760 is a great processor to OC, it will go to 4ghz no issues, the 460 will be a sort of bottleneck compared to the raw power of your CPU, the 6870 could offset that somewhat, as could a 470 to be fair. For upgrate purposes, get a 6870 and an Xfire capable board, as a 760 + 6870s in Xfire would make an amazing rig :D
